I am a home health physical therapist, and for more than a decade I’ve walked into living rooms, bedrooms, and kitchens where people were doing their best to manage life after injury, illness, or surgery. I’ve celebrated progress with patients, and I’ve also felt heartbreak when someone needed something as basic as a walker or wheelchair, but couldn’t access it.

Sometimes it was because they didn’t have insurance. Sometimes insurance denied coverage. Sometimes income restrictions left them with no options. And in those moments, I kept thinking: this shouldn’t be the reason someone struggles, falls, or loses independence.

Blessings in Motion was created to help close that gap. We collect gently used medical equipment and provide it to individuals and families who can’t afford it. My hope is that every piece of equipment we give becomes more than a donation—it becomes a reminder that someone cares, and that help is still possible.
